Craig Cormick
Craig Cormick is an award-winning Canberra author and journalist. He works as the manager of a government communications unit, providing information programmes on biotechnology. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and in the media on public attitudes towards new technologies. Craig has previously worked as a science journalist and lived overseas in Finland and Iceland. Craig has had a strong interest in Antarctica since working as a journalist for the Department of Science in 1986, interviewing scientists and support staff who had been to Antarctica. He set it as a life goal to travel there and visit the Australian stations which he achieved in 2008, also making it his seventh continent visited. He has written many stories with Antarctic settings and having lived and travelled near the Arctic Circle, in Finland and Iceland, he is very interested in olar opposites.
