David LaChapelle
Highly regarded as an artist as well as a fashion and celebrity photographer, LaChapelle landed his first big break photographing for Interview magazine, after befriending Andy Warhol. He went on to shoot covers and editorials for publications GQ, i-D, The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, The Face, Vanity Fair, Vogue Italia, and Vogue Paris. A pop art sensibility runs through his work, as well as a wry and subversive humor, which often incorporates social commentary on themes of fame, gender, glamour, and status.
