Retro Holidays Australia showcases how we used to holiday back in the day with long hot summers and when holiday trips were a big deal coming for many just once per year.
Take a trip through the retro years in Australia between the 1950s and the 1970s and how we used to holiday during our summer season with over 500 images showcasing our holidays travelling away, or if the budget could not afford it, holidaying at home. We wanted for very little back in those days, riding our bikes, swimming at the local pool, and simple meals at the picnic table at the caravan park or on a beach towel watching the waves. We made ends meet on very little money and enjoyed our carefree time from sunup to sundown enjoying our summer holidays.
Featuring every state and territory of how we enjoyed our leisure time and how we used to holiday back in the day. A celebration of a simple time and a period of great optimism of that bygone era.
