Whisked away without warning and left in a stranger’s garden,Teida finds herself in the home of a woman who has never had a dog before and who leaves Teida alone all day to work long hours. Frightened after a robbery, Annie is unsure if she can open her heart to a pet that depends on her.

Lonely and full of confusion, Teida wonders if she will ever have a family who loves her. Neither of them has any idea that this is the beginning of a lifelong connection. With Annie, Teida finds a home and a family, and together they experience good times and bad as they learn about love and friendship, faith and spirituality, and life and death.

Many friends help Teida as she tries to understand the world around her, until in the end she is able to teach the humans a thing or two. From an energetic young dog with a heart full of love, Teida grows to give comfort to all those around her and to discover many things about the nature of the universe.

With the unconditional love of Teida, Annie is able to open up to others and to feel the joy of taking care of an animal companion. During the illness of a close friend, they come together to support each other through crisis and sorrow.

A touching tale about connections of the soul between animals and humans, Teida’s Story explores relationships, loss, grief, excitement and pure joy from the perspective of one very special dog.
