MasterChef 2013 winner, Emma Dean, with her own signature dishes, as well as some from the successful tv show.
Growing up on a hobby farm in Epsom, Victoria, Emma spent her childhood surrounded by chickens, sheep, cows and horses and her love for food from the land developed from a young age. Her parents grew a lot of their own vegetables and fruit and this started Emma on her journey of foraging, with a keen interest in edible weeds and mushrooms.
Emma has a Masters in Environment and Planning from RMIT, and has worked in town planning for the State Government for over eight years. But after some recent soul searching, she decided to take a voluntary redundancy and make her food dreams a reality.
Emma's first book incorporates her love of food from the land to the plate including her love of foraging and with her easy style of cooking this is the perfect book for people who not only have an interest in cooking but have an interest in the food that comes on their plate.
